Normally, all my aunts, uncles, and cousins get together for thanksgiving dinner. That’s our tradition back home.. we watch football and tell funny stories and eat amazing food. But it was different this year. I spent Thanksgiving with my brother Casey and his family; his wife, Jen, and their son, Brendan. It was great to spend time with them but I missed home very much. We went to Jens aunts house for a Thanksgiving “lunch.” The food was okay but they had no mashed potatoes and of all things, no pumpkin pie. They told no funny stories and they didn’t even watch any football. However, it wasn’t a bad experience but it was a whole new Thanksgiving experience for me.
Over the rest of my break though I was extremely busy; I had three papers to write and about ten hours of math work to do. When I wasn’t locked in the bedroom trying to finish all my work, I was playing with the cutest little boy ever! My nephew Brendan is 2 ½ years old and such a little stud muffin. He is so cute and he loves his Aunt Maggie =)
